Statement Of Good Practice

The philosophy of Kind Hands is to reflect and promote values which focus upon the individual service user being the centre of care planning and delivery.

To help achieve this level of good practice Kind Hands has drawn upon the following fundamental core values of care:

  • Autonomy and independence of personal decision-making, including the understanding of risks as well as responsibilities associated with citizenship.
  • Choice of occupational activities, lifestyle, customs, cultures and values as the best way to maintain independence.
  • Respect for the intrinsic worth, dignity and individuality of the person and his/her racial and ethnic identity and cultural heritage.
  • Participation and integration in society and in the development of plans, policies and decisions affecting the individual’s life, including the provision, management and development of care services.
  • Knowledge about conditions and prospects, options and opportunities and other ways of improving the individual’s life.
  • Fulfilment of personal aspirations and abilities in all aspects of daily life, including the chance to develop new skills and knowledge.
  • The right to safety and privacy from unnecessary intrusion and the safeguarding of confidentiality.
  • Equality of opportunity and access to high quality care that enables individuals to fully benefit from the service they receive irrespective of age, race/ethnic origin, creed, colour, religion, political affiliation, disability/impairment, sexual gender/ sexual orientation.

Kind Hands recognises that the realisation of these values, together with the level of help and support required to achieve personal goals, will be a unique process for each individual person. However, the principles remain constant and provide a sound foundation for the provision of care to all, regardless of personal circumstances.

We provide care 365 days of the year whatever the weather.
As a company we pride ourselves on the calibre of our staff. All of our staff have enhanced DBS checks carried out on them before being employed by us. They are regularly spot checked and supervised during their working day to ensure we are continually providing quality care. We aim for all of our staff to have obtained a QCF, Qualification and Credit Framework Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Through our experience we have come across most situations and have built a loyal team of trained care professionals who take pride in delivering a quality service. We are very flexible as to when and what care we can provide and we tailor each package of care to meet the clients need, whether it is short term or long term.
